Clearance sale at Urban Decay.com - up to 50% off - Glinda Palette!!

Kids are fast asleep, hubby's at the gym, and I am out browsing websites! What a perfect day off!  All I need is Decaf Carmel Machiatto  +Starbucks Coffee  and I will be set!

I was out looking on the sale page of Urban Decay's website +Urban Decay Cosmetics and found a few things on sale.  Many of these items are also on sale on at other sites, but you do get free shipping directly from Urban Decay when you spend $35.

I didn't find anything I had to have until i ran across the Glinda Palette on sale! It's only $24 (marked down from $49)

First - I love the Urban Decay eye shadow - it's the best out there!

Second - I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Wizard of Oz! It's my favorite movie from my childhood! (don't ask my brother about it!)

I was lusting after this way back when it first came out, but I couldn't pull the trigger.  

Just take a look at these gorgeous things AND it comes with a 24/7 liner in purple and a Super Saturated lip crayon!!!

Should I get it? Should I? Should I?

While I try to justify buying more makeup (holy mother!), you just mosey on over and see if you find something you LOVE on sale on the Urban Decay website.

Oh Boy! The clearance sales are on at CVS and Walgreens! Revlon, Color Workshop, Wet N Wild nail

Oh Mawh Gawg...the holiday clearance at +CVS/pharmacy  and +Walgreens  has amped up. 

When I was out last night I found that CVS has already slashed their holiday items to 75% and Walgreens is at 50% off.

For beauty lovers, this means that all those holiday palettes, stocking stuffers, brush sets, nail buckets is all on sale!!  I found Revlon Color Perfumerie nail sets, Wet and Wild Nail buckets, LA Colors nail sets, and multiple palettes.

Stila still on sale at Ulta.com! Reposting!

I was browsing around Ulta's website and ran across some GREAT prices a few Stila items.

Stila's Masterpiece Series Eye and Cheek Palettes (includes all 3) is on sale for $17.00.  I looked  this same set a few weeks ago and it was full price for $39.00.  That's more than 55% off the regular price.

I then spotted the Color Outside the Lines Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner set on sale for $15.00 marked down from $34.00.  These liners are awesome.  I am always trying to find the perfect tightline eyeliners and according to reviewers these don't smudge, blend nicely, and stay on all day!

It comes with 5 colors,  and basically you are getting 5 for less than the price of one. These are $20 a piece usually.  AWESOME bargain!

Wet N Wild Ticket to Brazil bronzer 50% off at Walgreens

YMMV (your mileage may vary) on a deal at Walgreens.  While I was out scoping for deals, I found the Color Icon Ticket to Brazil bronzer for 50% off, marked down to $2!  

Now, I don't know if the other Color Icon bronzers (like Reserve Your Cabana or Bikini Contest) are going to ring up for $2 as well, but you could give it a try.  The Walgreens I went to didn't have any others on the shelf, so I couldn't test it.

This is rated 4.5 out of 5.0 stars on Makeup Alley.  This is a highly pigmented bronzer, so go easy on it until you get the hang of it.  It's a decent bronzer and well worth the $2.  This is one of those drugstore hidden treasures.  In fact, Wet N Wild has several products that are comparable to high end products.  That's for a later blog post!

Wet N Wild - select products for $0.69 through Jan 4th

While I was at Walgreens getting the Almay deal, I ran across this Wet N Wild sale for $0.69.  

This is only for select products that are normally $0.99, so lip liners, certain eye liners, select lipsticks, and Wild Shine nail polishes. 

 It also applies single eye shadows, which is something that our local Walgreens and CVS in Iowa has not typically carried.  

I was beyond thrilled to see Brulee (a nice cream color) and Nutty (a shimmery neutral taupe), along with about 8-10 other singles.   If you follow the links above, it will take you to Makeup Alley, which is a great website to use before buying makeup, because it gives you real user reviews. 

This is displayed on an endcap, not in the regular line on the shelf.    

This was displayed with the new 2014 Wet N Wild releases, which I tried to take a picture of but my phone died.

Almay deal at Walgreens - Updated!

I stopped by Walgreens last night to try out the Almay deal i had mentioned in my previous post..  It worked for the most part, but there a few things you should be aware of.   I could not find any Almay clearance left at Walgreens, but you may find it at your store. 

Here's what I got:

In Transaction #1:

• Almay face wipes $5.99
• Almay liquid lip balm in Blooming $5.49
• Used the $5 off 2 manufacturers coupon
• Used $2 off Walgreens Jan coupon book  X 2 (total of $4 off)
• Total paid:  $2.48 plus tax

In Transaction #2:

• Almay one coat mascara in blackest black $8.29
• Almay CC primer in Luminous $10.99- you don't see it here because I ended up returning it because Walgreens didn't apply the $2 coupon 
• Used the $5 off 2 manufacturers coupon
• Used $2 off Walgreens Jan coupon booklet X 1 
• Total paid:  $1.29 plus tax (this is because when they returned the primer, they returned the full price paid for it, not the price less the $5 coupon)

Now here's what you have to know:

• Looking at the Walgreens ad - the BOGO 50% should apply to Almay foundation, primer, concealer, blush, powder, and eye cosmetics (so does not include lip products)

• In Transaction #2, the $2 Walgreens coupon did not apply even though the coupon clearly says "on Almay cosmetics and makeup remover wipes" - I could have called a supervisor, but it was late and I just had the clerk return the primer - so watch for that!

• Remember that the BOGO 50% does not apply to clearance

• If you look at the new displays of makeup in the front, you can pick up the NEW Almay 2014 releases with this deal as well (that's where the CC Luminous primer was at)

I thought it was a decent deal even though it didn't quite go as smoothly as i wanted.

Almay deal going on now at Walgreens - print now!

Great news!  Looks like the Buy one, get one for 50% off deal for Almay is running at Walgreens this week. 

AND more great news ,I found that the January Walgreens coupon book does indeed have an Almay coupon that you can stack with the $5 off 2 Almay manufacturer coupon that you can get from Coupons.com.

You can print the coupon from Coupons.com up to 2 times per device (computer, iphone, ipad).  I have 4 devices, so I can print that coupon 8 times.  Print this one right away as it may go away at the end of the month (Dec 31st).

As far as the Walgreens coupon, its $2 off an Almay cosmetic or makeup remover.  You only need one coupon, and it will apply to the entire purchase.  

So if you buy 4 Almay items, you can use two (2) of the $5 off 2 coupons, and 1 of the Walgreens coupons and your receipt will show $10 off for manufacturers coupons, and $8 in Walgreens coupons, for a total discount of $18. 

Add that to the Buy one, get one for 50% and you should have a killer deal. 

 I am going later, so I will see what I can get for free or close to free.

Awesome Almay coupon $5 off 2 - print now - use today at Walgreens!

Right now on Coupons.com, you can print a $5 off 2 Almay products.  

I did this the other day and combined it with the Almay clearance going on at Walgreen, so I got a great deal! Here's what I picked up for only $6.46!! (I could have gotten it for $4.46, but I missed out an another coupon - see details at the end)

• Almay oil-free makeup remover towelettes - 25 pack
• Almay smart shade anti-aging makeup with spf 20 - shade light
• Almay intense i-color liquid shadow color primer - shade 54 for green eyes
• Almay intense i-color liquid shadow color primer - shade 51 for brown eyes

I combined this offer with a coupon available in the Walgreens coupon booklet.  This little booklet has several coupons that you can stack with the $5 off 2 manufacturer coupon. 

You can grab this booklet right at the front of the store where they place the ad.  The December booklet expires today (11/28), so you can still get this deal. The December booklet has a $2 off coupon that is only valid on face makeup like foundation or the makeup towelettes. 

However there is another large holiday book that has another $1 off any Almay cosmetics (and that's where I missed out!) that you can use for any Almay product.  I took a pic of the coupon, but I don't have the large holiday book any longer. 

 

This deal is valid through today 11/28, but stay tuned because I believe there is also going to be another Almay coupon in the January Walgreens coupon book.

Too Faced and Urban Decay at Ulta.com

I found some other things on sale on Ulta's website. 

I just bought the Joy to the Girls palette ($48) at an Ulta store right before Chrismas with my 20% coupon, which brought it to $38, which I thought was a decent price.  I really wanted the Be Merry Be Bright set because it has both eye and cheek colors, but it was gone!  I was just at Ulta last week and there were quite a few left, but by last Monday, sadly they were all gone! 

Well, anyway, I was browsing online and found that the Joy to Girls palette is already marked down to $36 from $48.  That's lower than I paid.  Argh...

It comes with 15 colors and a full sized Lashgasm mascara.  I am very excited to try them out as I have heard great things about this palette.  When I swatched them in the store they were creamy and pigmented, and blended very nicely.

I also saw that Ulta has the Feminine Palette marked down to just $16!  This palette was $36 full price. This palette features 6 eyeshadows in a mirrored case and a Lip Junkie lipgloss.  I have not tried this palette personally, but I don't think you can ever go wrong with Urban Decay eye shadows.  I have the Naked palettes and they are so pigmented, creamy and blendable.

After Christmas hoopla going on!

So, its the day after Christmas and clearances are in full swing.   I'm not much of an after Christmas shopper unless its a really really good bargain.

If you are a drugstore makeup maven, CVS and Walgreens have had quite a few things on clearance since the beginning of December..  I have found some great bargains out there on OPI, Revlon, Physician's Formula, and Rimmel.  

+Gianna Nouveau and her blog Nouveau Cheap has several posts about the clearance that is going on at CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid.  (great blog!)

Prices may vary in your area but I have purchased many things for 75% off including:
OPI Nail polishes for $1.97
Revlon Colorstay Aqua mineral powder for $3.50
Revlon nail art polishes for $2.25
Physician's Formula bronzer (there are a few on clearance) for $3.75

If you can find coupons for their clearance items, it makes the deal even sweeter.  I often use this website to look for coupons:

It's easy, just type in Revlon, and a list pops up.  Some are printable from your computer, and some you have to look for the coupon in a specific ad circular like Smart Source or Red Plum.

Hurry! Less than 24 hours left on the Ulta 20% sale!

For anyone looking for the ultimate beauty bargain, Ulta still has 20% off your entire purchase.  You may have received a mailer but you can also go online to www.ulta.com and either print out the 20% coupon or use the online coupon code.

This coupon is valid on most prestige brands but see the coupon for specific exclusions.  

Another coupon out there that will expire Dec 24th is the $5 off $10 http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=19xurk&s=5 (go to Dealigg for a list of Ulta coupons) .  This is usually valid on non-prestige brands.  For drugstore beauty lovers, this is good one.  I can usually find some good bargains with this as I can use a manufacturer coupon in conjunction.
