I have seen these advertised before, but never had a chance to check them out. Plus, I think its kind of a weird concept in a way.
Anyway, I didn't see any signage or promotional type things, so I asked the sales clerk who was pricing the shampoos. She had no idea what I was talking about, so I showed her in the ad what I meant. She was very nice but had no clue. I asked her if she had any coupons to give out and she said she would look. She dug through a box of coupons and gave me a few random ones.
I walked away and was looking at some other products in the clearance area (more about that in a minute..), and pretty soon the clerk came up and handed me some L'oreal Paris shampoo and conditioner samples and Garnier Fructis shampoo samples. She said she felt bad and looked around to see what she could get me.
Anyway, the night didn't end half bad because I found the one e.l.f. Villians Cruella de Vil set still for $3.25. I didn't buy the other day, so I thought I would go ahead and try the set. When I went to pay, the clerk said there was a further clearance and price modified it done to $0.75! I was so excited!
Oh, and then today I ran over to another Walgreens to see if any more of the e.l.f. sets were on clearance. I asked the day manager about the "Night at the W" event and she said she doesn't work at night. She started looking around and found a large white box that no one opened. She opened it right in front of me and there was 6 full size products and a ton of samples. It also had coupons for $1 Neutrogena and some other coupons. She told me that no one pays attention but to please NOT mention to the manager or they would all be in trouble!
Well, so in the end it was worth the stop because I got a clearance deal, so the "Night" wasn't a total bust!
Happy bargain hunting!
